Alison Holst

Alison is a full-time student at the Macaulay Honors College at The City College of New York! She has been passionate about music for as long as she can remember. Some of her favorite artists are Lana Del Rey, Wallows, Taylor Swift, and Radiohead, just to name a few. She is a self taught piano player, since age 14, and is working on learning to play the guitar. Alison has also begun to explore the art of songwriting! Some of her other hobbies include reading, watching tv and movies, baking, and making Spotify playlists! Alison is particularly drawn to the lyrical and story telling aspects of songs, and the ways such emotions can be created sonically. She also loves writing in all forms, which makes her excited when getting to review various different songs.
