Q: ‘One More Time’ is so beautiful! What is the story behind the song?
Amira: Thank you so much! It is a very special song to me as I auditioned to Berklee College of Music with it. The song is about two people who are in a long distance relationship and need patience in order to stay together. I actually wrote it in 2016 and it was so different, then in 2022 I decided to change it completely by adding harmonies and a string section. The new version was written at Berklee and has a group of talented musicians playing the instrumental.
Q: How long have you been playing piano?
Amira: Around 14 years.
Q: What is one instrument you would love to learn?
Amira: I would love to learn how to play the guitar.
Q: Who would you love to collaborate with and why?
Amira: John Legend! I absolutely love his music and would love to be able to work on a song with him.
Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration?
Amira: Adele. She inspired me to write piano ballads and pursue a music career.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in terms of your musical career?
Amira: Live performances and connecting with my audience.
