Review: "Dead End" - Sinikka Monte

Sinikka Monte has new music out for her listeners. Her new single “Dead End” was released last Friday, October 28, 2022. This is the artist's 6th single released since 2019. With the Imagery of a road sign that reads “Dead End”, in her new single Sinikka is referencing the end of something, and in this case, it's the end of a relationship. Like the street sign says, the two of them can't go any further. "Dead End" has a high energy pop-rock sound where the artist addresses being cheated on and trying to forgive.

"Dead End" is about a relationship coming to an end. In her new single, Sinikka talks about heartbreak. With lyrics like, "I'm terrified of loving you a second time" and "Why did you drive down a road so recklessly and break your heart and mine", Sinikka pours her heart out in her lyrics. The young pop artist wrote a song that anyone who has been cheated on can relate to. She uses honest lyrics and covers the raw and emotional pain that a lot of people in similar situations have felt. Her songwriting ability and use of clever lyrics are one of the highlights of this track. In "Dead End" listeners can pick up on the strong emotions that can be felt in every lyric she sings.

Sinikka Monte is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter currently based in Austria. Since releasing her debut single, "It Ain't You” in 2019, she now adds, “Dead End” to her discography. Her music is influenced by popular artists like Labrinth, Madison Beer, and Ariana Grande. Authenticity and sincerity are important aspects of her music. When it comes to her lyrics, Sinikka has said, "Each word is pre-meditated and vetted to match real-life emotions.``. Her single, "Dead End" certainly had no expectation of that.
