Review: "pressure on my mind" - Noa Lone

Society puts a lot of pressure on us to be perfect human beings. We're made to feel like we have to overwork ourselves to be seen as successful, and still look refreshed and unbothered at the end of the night. The expectations that are put on us are unrealistic, but yet we beat ourselves up for not being able to accomplish the impossible. "pressure on my mind" by Noa Lone is a danceable pop-bop that reminds us to take a breather and realize that we're doing just fine. We don't need to live up to anybody's standards but our own. Let go of all the stress and be yourself!

A groovy beat and a bass that slaps, has you up and ready to dance around your room to this incredibly crafted pop anthem. "pressure on my mind" gives me the same vibes as Dua Lipa's album, Future Nostaliga; with catchy and relatable lyrics and an addicting soundscape that has the perfect amount of funk and groove, it possesses you to put it on repeat. "pressure on my mind" is what I like to describe as "feel good" music. This song literally helps you take the weight off your shoulders and have some fun for a minute. It's the perfect pick-me-up song to kick off the Summer with.

Noa Lone is a female-fronted indie pop rock band based in Germany. "pressure on my mind" is their impressive official debut single as a group this year, but have been performing together for longer and released a live session last year titled "Issues". They compare their sound to early Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons and 5 Seconds of Summer. Their pop rock style is mixed with electronic elements that create the perfect fusion of sounds for a hit song. "pressure on my mind" blows it out of the water for being a first song, and I can't wait to see what else Noa Lone comes up with.
