Have you ever had a relationship come and go - from burning passion to suddenly like it was nothing? One second they're in the palm of you're hand and then the next, they vanish almost like they never even existed. "Race Car" by Drew Now is a fun, electro-pop song that uses racing references to describe those type of men who dash the moment they get even slightly too emotionally close to someone. If you've ever experienced something like this, "Race Car" is a great song to help you dance out the emotions and realize that you're better off without him anyway.
"Race Car" has a quick, energetic beat that'll get you on your feet. Co-produced by two artists who also happen to be former athletes, Evan Cline and Barry Zito brought a sporty aspect to the song that really solidifies the theme. The electronic beat is consistent and takes the forefront of the instrumentation, making it a perfect bop for radio play. There are some distorted moments and interludes that I personally really love; it almost sounds like they're turning Drew's voice into a revving engine. Drew Now has such a pop queen type of voice that really draws you in to the song. The play on words with car and racing terminology make the lyrics fun and memorable.
