Being in a relationship has so many ups and downs with memories of happy moments and sad moments. It can be extremely hard to place all your feelings and emotions into just one issue. While that may be hard, finding yourself and trusting yourself after a relationship is even harder. There are constant thoughts of what went wrong and how can I be better when the reality was, it was never your fault. Libby Ember released her latest track “Alibi” on June 13, 2025. A song that reminds us that it’s okay to feel everything and anything during a relationship.
“Alibi” starts off with a sort of haunting sound that resembles footsteps on an old wooden floor. The mood of the song then completely shifts and goes into the most beautiful guitar strings being played. Pairing with the amazing sound throughout the track was her voice that was so gentle and caring at every possible second. Especially with lyrics like “My eyes are red from crying out tonight” and “Crying over someone who’s not mine at all.” Her lyrics were so relatable and vulnerable which I loved. You could hear just how much this song means to her by the emotion that is given off throughout.
Libby Ember is a singer/songwriter from Montreal, Canada. She is just 19 years old with a dream of making her mark in the music industry. Her latest track “Alibi” is her debut song into the wonderful world of music. A song about love, relationships and how to go about life when it’s just the two of you. I highly recommend giving this song a listen as you will not be disappointed especially if you like the Indie pop genre.
