With much excitement on the horizon, Autoheart have released a captivating new single, "Baby Bird," delving into heartfelt themes of resilience and introspection. The track follows on the heels of their previous single, "Sad Divide," and serves as the second single for their upcoming album with both songs teasing the release of the highly anticipated Heartlands. Discussing the inspiration behind the single, the band explains, "'Baby Bird' is about surviving yourself. It’s about learning not to fear the fall – or even if you do, doing it anyway – and trusting that even if you f*** it up, given time, you’ll find your way again."
Equal parts electrifying and melancholic, Autoheart's "Baby Bird" seamlessly blends an essence of hope into the song's reflective, bittersweet narrative. The band incorporates their signature indie pop sound into every note of the track, featuring a compelling mix of exhilarating guitar riffs, ethereal synths, and addictive melodies. Further immersing listeners into layers of emotion, the lead singer's sonorous voice envelops us in touching, passionate vocal lines that are bound to captivate. A true indie pop masterpiece, "Baby Bird" leaves us thrilled for what the band has to offer next.
Hailing from London, Autoheart are an indie pop band formed in 2011. The group consists of members Jody Gadsen, Simon Neilson, and Barney JC, releasing their music independently through their label, O/R Records. A trio of seasoned artists, Autoheart have spent years writing, recording, and building a catalog worthy of listening to on repeat. They currently have three studio albums to their name with the fourth arriving in August 2025. Inspired by many great artists, Autoheart have cited acts like R.E.M., Tears for Fears, Ani DiFranco, The Cure, and The Eurythmics as major influences over their work. Aside from "Baby Bird," some of Autoheart's popular tracks include "Lent," "Moscow," "Agoraphobia," and "Stalker's Tango."
