Rosie Meyer’s latest single “Beyond” is like summer nostalgia distilled into a song, but with a subtle ‘Bonnie leaving Clyde’ twist. The song is all about escaping with someone’s heart (and credit cards), your hands out the car windows to feel the wind between your fingers as you leave them behind you. As the title says, you’re heading out beyond– and far, far away. “Beyond” is a song that is best enjoyed while being blasted out of the stereo, a perfect mix of catchy melodies and 80's stylings. It’s got some pop influence and country touch, combined with that indiepop vibe and synth. If you’re looking for your next summer jam, this would absolutely be it.

If you’ve got a road trip coming up, then “Beyond” definitely has to be the first song you should add to your driving playlist. It’s no exaggeration when I say that this song sounds exactly like summertime, full of upbeat 80’s vibes that will have you screaming the lyrics out the windows. I love how it’s not quite a love song– sure, it’s about relationships, but it’s more focused on the feeling that comes after you’ve slipped out of a relationship and realized that you feel freer without it. You’ve stolen away with their heart and you’re the one headed out into the horizon. The soundscape really helps give the feeling of escape, and the catharsis that follows it. With synth and gentle percussion, combined with a chorus that grows in strength, you feel every bit of that freedom. I especially like the parts where Rosie’s voice increases in energy with each “beyond” she repeats. It’s an amazing way to add emphasis while building on the soundscape itself. “Beyond” is one of those songs that you instantly recognize as belonging in your headphones during a walk, a beach day, or honestly anytime you’re out and about in the sunlight.

Rosie Meyer is a singer-songwriter whose music combines sharp storytelling with cheeky hooks. She’s known for blending pop styles with touches of country and 80's influences. She debuted back in 2023 with her single “Deep Down”, and has since released a number of other amazing tracks. Her debut EP Thunder followed the next year, with her 2025 EP words coming shortly after. “Beyond” is Rosie’s first single of 2026, bringing together The Japanese House and Sabrina Carpenter sounds to make a brilliant song to start the year. If you loved “Beyond”, then be sure to listen to the rest of Rosie’s awesome discography and drop her follow on her socials!
