Limerence is defined by Dictionary as “the state of being obsessively infatuated with someone.” That is the experience being described by Dolder in their song “Bone Structure”. Sometimes you know someone is bad for you. You know that they’re going to hurt you or lower the quality of your life. However, that doesn’t stop you from romanticizing and desiring a relationship with them. The lyrics of “Bone Structure” paint a beautifully touching picture of recognizing someone for their flaws yet still wanting them, even to a point of obsession or delusion. This experience is emotionally intense, a little draining, and deeply personal, and “Bone Structure” by Dolder captures it flawlessly.

The song starts off with a guitar track that gives the piece a familiar and homey feel. After the vocals arrive, a drum-beat enters the track to push the song forward. The vocals pick up in the chorus, giving the piece an emotive and beautiful feeling. Once the bridge arrives, the vocals pick up with an echoey effect after each stanza. The chorus and bridge layer vocal harmonies that give the song a fuller and more immersive sound. The instrumental and mastering give the track a reflective and reminiscent feel. Combining the production quality with the emotive and expressive lyrics create a touching and beautiful track that audiences everywhere can relate to.

Dolder is a musical group composed of identical twin sisters Dani and Zara Dolder. Although they released their first single and EP in 2025, music has been a large part of their lives for years. When they were ten or eleven, they began writing music together, with their dad, Prefab Sprout drummer Steve Dolder, playing drums on their earliest demos. The group cites their father as being the reason they pursue music, having inspired them from a young age by playing a number of great artists for them and encouraging them.  The twins state that they would write about the human experience, taking inspiration from a number of places such as TV shows like “Friends”. Dolder has a dreamy and nostalgic sound, and writes music that touches the hearts and speaks to the experience of audiences everywhere.
