With a collaboration between Seezyn and Ellen Benediktson, “Catch Me (Seezyn’s Version)” sees a revitalized version of Benediktson’s previously released song. Full of ‘80s essence, this song has come out at the right time for a song of the summer. With Benediktson’s version touching on the idea that her partner will never “catch [her],” this new version adds the other perspective of Seezyn’s lyrics, saying that “[his partner] is his favorite game.” The dual perspective heightens the song’s catchiness and both Seezyn and Benediktson sound great on the track, leading to a natural collaboration and an expansion on being the “cool girl” that can never be held down.

This collaboration did just what they should all do: add on to the original version without subtracting its essence. Benediktson’s vocals flow smoothly, and the ‘80s influence holds strong without overdoing the nostalgia, leading to a great summer song. Along with that, Seezyn’s verse and ad-libs throughout the song feel as if they’ve been there all along, leading to a welcome addition to the song. The collaboration between the two feels natural, and creates an ‘80s fever dream, welcome on any summer playlist and echoing Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia. “Catch Me (Seezyn’s Version)” is a great addition to 2025’s discography, and one to make waves throughout the year.

Ellen Benediktson is a Swedish pop star, with influences including Paramore and Olivia Rodrigo. Garnering attention through being a finalist in the Swedish Eurovision, Benedikston has had three songs within Spotify Sweden’s Top 50. With “Catch Me (Seezyn’s Version)” being the first collaboration between the two, Seezyn adds onto his expansive discography as well. Hailing from Cincinnati, Seezyn has been featured on Juice WRLD’s song “Hide,” featured on the Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse soundtrack. He’s also produced multiple songs for the late rapper. With influences ranging from Travis Scott to The Weeknd, Seezyn’s discography is sought-after and only growing from here.
