"Chances" is the debut single from Eric Reinhart, a song about finding your soulmate on a planet with eight billion people who can't compare to that special someone. Reinhart is enamored that he has met the love of his life in a course decided by fate, which amplifies his feelings towards his significant other, as he knows that they were destined to be together. He is experiencing true love and feels supported and secure in the relationship he sings about. He remarks about the "chances" that lead them to meet in the first place, cleverly presenting the song's title with various possible meanings.
The production and instrumentation styles of "Chances" is inspired by 2000s pop rock, with Reinhart's vocals perfectly fitting this genre.
