In her latest single, “CHEERLEADER,” Ella Collier takes an extra step past “kill them with kindness” and punches with pop-poms. Too often, stars pit against each other as a man moves from one relationship to the next. Collier shakes it up and redirects the anger back to her ex. Collier and her ex’s new girlfriend are on the same team. Sure, she’s a little obsessive, but she layers her honesty with fierce enthusiasm. Collier sings, “I’ll be screaming ‘Go Team!’/ I’ll be her biggest cheerleader.”

A deep vibrating bass roars like the blur of a loud stadium. The heavy claps and snares pound like a marching band, prepping the crowd to get louder for their team. Collier’s voice matches the dance energy. She easily goes from shouting the “CHEERLEADER” anthem in the chorus to the moody whispered cheer in the bridge. It’s as captivating as watching the flips, tricks, and tumbling from the stands.

Collier is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter with a passion for pop, trap, EDM, and hyperpop. She was born in Atlanta and began performing by the age of 12. Her influences expanded from Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift to Gwen Stefani and Zara Larsson. Love Island, NBA 2K, and X Games feature her music. She’s landed in Vanity Fair, The New York Times, and #6 on Spotify’s “SALT” playlist. Her debut album CHEERLEADER is out now.
