Review: "Disco Fever" - Chrizy

Disco Fever Chrizy Cover Art.

Picture it. The music starts as you enter the scene. The beat is beating and suddenly you hear, “left right” and find yourself following the song’s commands. With a name like “Disco Fever”, one must come with it as far as songs go. Chrizy doesn’t disappoint with this club banger. The music starts the vibe that is continued with her chill voice and catchy lyrics. “Glass half full, that’s my reputation.” A reputation for seeing the brighter side of things, a seemingly direct contrast to having a “fever” of any kind, except, that is, a disco fever. Chrizy’s voice and the music seem as though they were made for each other. Chrizy’s voice dances with the beat, creating the atmosphere of disco fever. This is pop. This is dance. This is. Dis. Co. Fe. Ver.

You feel intoxicated. Not by any drink, but by the music and the feeling you get when you hear the beat paired with the lyrics and Chrizy’s commanding voice. There’s an aura of expectation just before the chorus takes center stage, a time of preparation to let the disco fever overtake you. “Left right, all night.” We’ve got steps to embrace this disco fever! Chrizy’s turned up the heat with this summer dance-along offering. Can we truly dance all night? Who knows? But we’re definitely gonna try. “No rules, no time.’ Chrizy sings of a simpler life, where the bigger things are smaller and the smaller things are bigger.
