When I’ve got everybody’s eyes on me.” As she has people watching, listening and expecting things from her, it’s hard for her to remember who she was and what she liked before the big lifestyle change after being on American Idol, blowing up on TikTok, moving states, and performing. She does acknowledge loving what she’s doing and how big of a blessing it is to be able to live her dreams, but it's hard for her to pretend that she doesn’t miss where it all started in Cleveland and what she was used to: “I know that I’m living a dream, but lately its been hard for me to breathe. When I’m walking alone down these dark city streets, all I’m thinking is I should be in Cleveland.” Maryjo wrote this song when she was going through this big transition, unsure of how to deal with and go about it. This song was about her journey of following her dreams and the rollercoaster of emotions that came with finding her identity during that time. She’s happy with how much she’s grown since she’s written this song, and is excited to grow even more on this journey.
