Crowded House by Karis Taylor

All most of us want is simple love. The kind that is open, clear and established so you never question it. It’s hard to find when no one wants labels anymore, just casual behind closed door relationships. Karis Taylor wrote her new single “Crowded House” about loving someone that keeps her in the dark about their feelings. Her confession of how much she hates waiting for the answers. Karis blends storytelling with soaring synths and a guitar-driven beat. If you’re a fan of alt-pop and Gracie Abram esc lyricism then this song is for you.

Karis said “Crowded House” is a delusionship anthem about wanting to love loudly, without the silly nonchalant games and what are we questions that make you spiral and lose your head. It was written and produced alongside Seth Tackaberry and has cements itself as her most triumphant release to date. Karis wanted this to be an emotional outpouring that celebrates yearning and the power of feeling deeply. Stealing moments you wish you could have any second isn’t easy, especially when it’s out of your control. “Can we cut it out, I don’t want to wait until there’s no one around, you’re all I think about.” This release brings a bolder side of Karis Taylor that she’s never shown before. “Crowded House” has a blunt vulnerability that feels healing to the deep wounds we try to avoid. Put in on blast and scream the pain away.

Karis Taylor is a 21 year-old singer songwriter based in London. She’s known for her iconic indie-pop tracks that hold raw lyricism. Her debut single “Learning to Hate Me” was released in 2024, followed by her sophomore single “Dying Day.” She’s a seasoned live performer supporting artists such as Annika Kilkenny, Daisy Veacock and Bradley Marshall. She’s been finding her authentic sound and creating emotionally charged anthems that have you feeling everything. “Crowded House” is a project she is incredibly proud of and this track will lead us into her debut EP “Favorite Feeling,” set to release in September of this year. Karis Taylor is making her way through the doors in this industry so follow the links down below to stay updated on her upcoming releases.
