Unmatched. Jillian Jacqueline’s latest single “Cult Classic” depicts this idea, as she shares that this track is about her and her husband, as their love story is one of her favorites to watch. She shares, “I’ve always been fascinated by people’s love stories—whether they’re strangers, friends, or anyone willing to share the intimate details of how they fell in love and stayed in love”.

Starting off nostalgic and romantic, Jacqueline layers in clips of old romance

movies. It sets the tone as if the listener is hearing a love story begin, exactly what Jacqueline is looking for. When asked about this track, she states, “The day we wrote this song, the melody and lyrics carried that same cool nostalgia you find in a great, timeless film. And it makes me want to dance - which I absolutely love.” Throughout the first verse, various music motifs are thrown in. fortune cookies, kissing at red lights, even long dramatic winters that eventually turn into something beautiful. With a sweet melody and light harmonic vocals, the first part of the chorus is, “You and I are a cult classic / Kinda die-hard cinematic / Keep you comin' back through the static”.
