Tiffany Lorentz's latest song "Dancing With Strangers," is a song dedicated to the experience of growing up. Aging can be terrifying as you leave behind what is comfortable for the unknown. Lorentz frames aging in a different light. She takes the unknown and twists it into something to be excited about rather than feared. The title of the song points to the impulsivity and spontaneity that comes with growing up. As you shed your past self and open up to the new experiences that the world has waiting for you, excitement and fun can be found everywhere. "Dancing With Strangers" also shows the power of going with the flow. The lyric "Will I act like your parent? / Will I be your friend? / I don't know / You don't know / We will see how this goes" gives this sense of freedom and empowerment. The song doesn't feel like saying goodbye to the past, but encourages listeners to look forward to all the things that await them if you are willing to see it.

"Dancing With Strangers" has a vibe that would fit within a coming-of-age film. Not only does the message of the song align with the themes of coming-of-age films, but the entire sound carries a note of inspiration. It feels so inspiring that it also feels freeing, something that I see represented in many films centered around growing up. Lorentz has an airy, delicate, and sweet voice that reminds me of Lizzy McAlpine. Her voice alone has the power to inspire. When paired with the light and bouncy background music, it feels transformative. This is the kind of song that's perfect for warm summer nights spent driving with all the windows down.

Tiffany Lorentz is a singer-songwriter from Sweden. She describes herself as a "curious, analyzing, ambitious, scared, overthinking, and worried," person. Lorentz makes pop music that is both reflective and playful. Her debut EP "A new kind of rhythm" was released in early 2023. It features the songs "All I Can Be," "Home," "High & dry," and "Not for us." The EP received lots of praise and introduced her to her loyal listeners. The EP was reviewed as a "soul-nurturing dose of inspiration, confidence, and empowerment." (Weekly Music Fix) Lorentz focuses a lot on the melodies of songs and the arrangement of songs. She also produces on the side and loves listening to various music genres. Follow Tiffany Lorentz below to stay updated on her future releases!
