Review: "deserve it" - Ofir Sandler

Ofir Sandler released her latest track “deserve it” on June 26, 2025. This song is about the hard truth that society faces when those in control of certain situations simply don’t care who gets hurt. We live in a world where things are changing every single day whether it's for the good of society and in some cases for the worst. These changes are becoming a huge issue to many as change is scary. But what’s even more terrifying is the effect it has on millions due to the lack of heart and understanding. If you have ever felt disconnected or unprotected in a world where you are supposed to be shielded from such actions, then “deserve it” is just for you and remember that you are never alone.
Ofir Sandler has the most breathtaking and ear catching voice I have ever heard. I am in awe of her vocals every single time I listen to a track of hers. “deserve it” opens up with an amazing melody which quickly shifts into her outstanding lyrics and beat. I thought the upbeat sound of this track paired well with the message of the song, as it gives off a feeling of hope and better days to come. Not to mention how strong and intense the lyrics were with lines like “Oh but the hits keep coming / Oh can you see I’m bleeding out.” My absolute favorite part of the track was the drum solo towards the end as it was so different and all around powerful.
Ofir Sandler is a singer/songwriter from Liverpool, United Kingdom. The artist is originally from the Middle East but moved to the UK and has been there ever since. She released her first ever single in 2019 titled “Shine” and has since released often. In the past year she has created three amazing tracks all of which fall under that of the alternative indie pop rock genre. If you haven’t already, I strongly encourage you to give her music a listen as you will not be disappointed. In everything she creates you can hear the vulnerability and honesty throughout.
