"Different People" allows us to visualize what it's like to love someone and reflect on your time together. Ryan Nealon takes us down memory lane, reflecting on all the memories he's had with his past love interest. One of my favorite lines says, "Holiday's, you're still hostin' at your house / Do you realize that there's someone / Who doesn't come around anymore?" This line warms my heart with the talk of the holiday's while also giving me the pang of sadness that comes with heartbreak. The chorus gives the song even more power and meaning when it says, "Do you wish we could start over? / 'Cause it kind of stings / You're doing our favorite things / We're different people." This gives the song a full circle moment, we know exactly how the artist feels when they reflect and question a past relationship.
