Feelings are A LOT. Sometimes too much to handle. If you’ve ever been in that mindset where you just stop feeling due to so much going on (and I’ve been there, trust me!), I have a song for you! Cheska Moore’s newest single “disassociated”, beautifully tells of that moment when the feels get too overwhelming and you, well, disassociate. The song embodies the chaotic numbness that haunts you while you wander. Tells about the struggle in a raw yet captivating track. If you feel like this and need something that says “I feel you”, this song will have your back!

This song is such a beautiful composure, right off the bat. The layers of vocals and harmonies is a fun entrance that continues to build. 3 Along with the groovy bass, a tension builds all the way to the chorus. And then, it drops right before the chorus. 5 The eeriness is added by a desolate silence in the middle of lines, which creates a dial-up internet type of sound. Throughout the song, various synths and bass is added to create more build-up, with electronic-pop elements as well. Then, when the tension is at it’s peak, a full-blown EDM-drop is released, like a scream of relief. There is a loop that this song creates, where you can tie the beginning to the end and relive the song over and over for that one moment. One feeling. In my opinion, the song really does speak on the title and is a perfect rendition of that specific feeling.

Cheska Moore is a South London artist, and has been known for her alternative dark-pop. She went viral back in the summer of 2020 with her subversions of classic hits, that followed success in her debut single “Boy Who Tried”, released back in 2019. She made her spot in the music industry with her EP Self-Loathing Narcissist in 2023, and has since been a staple. She currently has over 32 thousand listeners on Spotify, and will continue to climb. She has also extended her audience with many collaborations, bringing different vibes to her game. In her vision for 2025, new material is on the rise with her classic dark-edge.
