My shoulders didn't stand a chance against the opening beat of this song. The synth-like instrumental had me swaying from side to side. It sounds like something you'd hear on your way to a rundown gas station. Specifically, if your windows are down. Ethan Beer's new single, "Doesn't Get Better," is a catchy anthem for when you're missing that special someone. It's a great song for when your favorite person isn't around, but those memories just won't leave you alone. With moving lyrics such as "If you're the match, then I′m the lighter/Our souls collide and catching fire/Nothing truly gets me higher," the single successfully conveys a sense of longing.
Beer is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer from Brisbane, Australia. Beginning his musical journey by performing in church and at school at the age of six, he wrote his first song at eight. Which explains how he professionally guides listeners through the single. In the years that followed, Beer began learning guitar and played a lead role in several musicals. His most standout role was Bruce Bogtrotter in 'Matilda the Musical,' presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he showcased his musical talents to large audiences throughout Australia. He also starred in the 2018 short film "Not Like Me" as the lead actor before moving to Los Angeles, CA, where he began working with various writers and producers for his music career.
