Cerys Georgina DON'T CALL IT Cover Art

Cerys Georgina released her latest single “DON’T CALL IT” on May 23, 2025. This song is about the need to change who you are for those around you even when you aren’t sure if you should do it. While fitting in is something we all do, there comes a point where you have to remind yourself that changing who you are for other people’s needs is not always the best answer. You can change a million things about yourself, and it still won’t be enough for others. Not being yourself at all times of the day will cause you to think about what you are doing and wonder how you can keep changing. Over time this leads you to regret not being yourself because if they can’t love the true version of you then they don’t have a place in your life.

“DON’T CALL IT” immediately begins with the artist's warm and powerful voice. When I first heard the song, the mood felt so upbeat and happy. The sounds throughout also backed up the tone and mood of the entire track. I really liked how there were very few instrumentals in this track, but the beats were bouncy and steady. Especially for how relatable this song was, It was full of so much energy at the beginning and as it went on the beats got slower and a little more mellow. The soft piano towards the end was my absolute favorite and the perfect way to end a song.

Cerys Georgina is a singer/songwriter from London, England. She started releasing music in 2022 with her first single titled “Nobody’s Birthday.” Since then, she has released several other tracks that are filled with so much emotion and tell a beautiful story. Her music falls under that of the alternative pop and indie genre. If you haven’t already listened to her latest single, I definitely recommend doing so. Be sure to also follow her social medias down below and stay in the know of what else this amazing artist has for us next.
