Review: "don't wanna be your friend" - joan

Many people have experienced the loss of someone that was supposed to love them. Have you ever had someone tell you, "can we just be friends?". Nothing hurts more than having feelings for someone that doesn't quite feel the same way for you. It's awfully hard to be friends with someone when you want them to be more. Sometimes they even go as far as taking advantage of your feelings and lead you on. 'don't wanna be your friend' by joan is the realization that you don't need someone like that you're better off just not being around this person at all.

I highly recommend watching the music video provided above. It's very well done, and comedic in nature. It's no doubt in my mind that joan is going to be a household name really soon. Their talent and start quality absolutely blows my mind. Their style and sound reminds me of The Chainsmokers with just a hint of Ed Sheeran. Every little component of this song is done perfectly; from the incredibly smooth vocals, the captivating lyrics, and the catchy beat mixed with a charming synth soundscape.

joan is a pop duo created by Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford that began in 2017 from the city of Little Rock, Arkansas.
