The song "E-MOTION" by Au/Ra brings nothing but energy. This song perfectly captures what it's like to produce music in the current age that we're living in where things can be produced from our living rooms. The digital age is desperate for a song like this that is just charged with numerous ways that technology has helped us with music versus slowed us down. From beginning to end, the song is one that you need to move to. It also seems like a song when listening to it, you can easily picture seeing it live which can be really hard to do. This energetic music paired with incredible lyrics bring on a song that is unmatched.
The song starts off with a simple guitar riff. The production alone in the guitar sound makes it start off heavy. It completely sets the tone for the rest of the song. Once the vocals come in, the song switches to feeling a bit distorted. Everything comes together to sound electronic. The lyrics in the chorus are definitely the best part which is the part that I feel like makes the song easy to picture hearing it live. Shouting, "3, 2, 1!" together is always a good way to get the audience engaged with a catchy chorus. The end of the song breaks up the song into a digital frenzy where the artist really flexes their editing skills.
