New release by artist Loralee "Feeling Ok" is a bedroom pop track that reflects on the battle between wanting to be perfect, and feeling content with what exists. It's a rich track to help listeners reflect and work through finding peace. "Feeling Ok" is sweet and understands the inner mind of most artists who experience similar obsessions with perfectionism. "Feeling Ok" assists in reminding you to take a moment to stand still and enjoy what you have instead of trying to erase and fix every crack you find. "Feeling Ok" allows you to accept your own skin and helps you breathe with ease even when the voices in your head try to stop you.
"Feeling Ok" is mellow and puts more of an emphasis on the lyrical content. When you hear the lyric "the sun is shining down on me" you can really feel that warmth. It creates a sense of tranquility that comes with finding assurance in yourself. Loralee's singing adds to this tranquility, her voice is sweet and comforting. As much as the song focuses on staying content, it still emphasizes how these urges to be perfect are still very present and it is important to acknowledge that these two emotions can exist at the same time. Working through insecurities isn't easy and they will continue to exist even as you go on a path of accepting yourself, and "Feeling Ok" portrays this beautifully. "Feeling Ok" is the perfect anthem for anyone going on a journey of inner-growth, and it's a track we should all take to heart because perfection shouldn't be the destination we all run to.
