Laura Pieri’s latest track “Flown Away” beams with fearlessness, as she soars in a new soundscape. Pieri breaks away from someone who was never satisfied. She lifted them up at the expense of living in a loop of sacrificing and redesigning herself. The suffocating isolation parallels the feeling of a bird in a cage. She builds her confidence, shedding layers of the false image she created, reminding us to express our true selves. She sings, “I put everything on the line/I’m not even sorry/ That I’ve flown away.” This anthem will pick you right back up when you’re feeling down. Pieri’s lyrics stand out, emphasizing self-love and escaping the pain of someone who couldn’t love her as she was.

Laura Pieri’s expressive voice is made for dance music. Reminiscent of artists like and Tove Lo, her voice carries vibrant color and energy. Similar to her story, she breaks away from her traditional pop sound, creating a track ready for summer. The percussion loops with crisp snares, while the sweet melody raises the carefree spirit of house music. The synthesizers echo early Major Lazer and DJ Snake hits, adding a spark of nostalgia. It's an instant serotonin boost. The song feels like reconnecting with a past version of yourself, open-hearted and ready to dance, with a new light.

Laura Pieri was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. She moved to New York at 16 and attended NYU’s Gallatin College of Individualized Study. She blends her Brazilian roots with pop influences like Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson. Her debut EP, Frankie, holds four tracks, each telling a different character's story. It was written with Skyler Cocco, Libby Larkin, and DEZI. Originally, Pieri wrote “Flown Away” for the album, but saved it, seeing the track as a misfit. Now, it carries the story to a new chapter, intertwined with self-discovery. Pieri balances her time between New York and Los Angeles, creating dance-worthy tracks.
