BERENICE Forgot To Love You Cover Art

“Forgot To Love You” by BERENICE details an unhealthy relationship that one partner wants to make work while the other doesn’t because they know it won’t last. The love they have for one another is faltering, that is if it still exists. More and more proof gets brought to light everyday that they are not a match, including BERENICE’s partner being toxic. Then, it doesn’t make sense to her when partner wants to continue their relationship, despite it being obvious that they aren’t working out at all. Her partner adds another level of toxicity to themselves when they act like they don't understand why she doesn’t love them back, a ludicrous mindset when they’re the cruel force driving them apart.

The song begins with just a slow guitar and whispering vocals from BERENICE. After the first chorus, she contributes a full singing voice as a heavy bass flows into the background. As the song advances, the guitars become more distorted, and her vocals become even more powerful with emotion, adding another poignant element to “Forgot To Love You”. The song then falls into an electric guitar solo, making the song switch from pop to alternative, also making the single genre-bending. With BERENICE credited as the songwriter and one of the two producers, it’s without a doubt she’s a musical genius, especially when it comes to these genres.

BERENICE is a music artist from Italy and is based in London, England. She began her music career in August 2024 with the release of her debut single “Little Red Heart”. She has been named in several music publications, including but not limited to Rolling Stone and she has also been recognized by BBC Radio. She has big plans for her music career, one of them being her first of three upcoming EPs, and she just performed live at the Folklore Hoxton in London for the Nashley Summer Tour on May 20, 2025, and there shall be more live performances in the future. BERENICE is a fantastic and incredibly talented artist!
