Just in time for the end of summer, Haunter have released their latest single, "GAME BOY," reminiscing over summer love and nostalgic nights. The song comes as part of a bigger project, teasing what you'll hear when diving into their debut EP of the same name. Telling a story over the course of 6 epic tracks, "GAME BOY" sets the stage with lighthearted, wistful memories of a playful love, full of references to the thrill of gaming and a longing to go back to late-night summer adventures. Joining "GAME BOY" on this emotional rollercoaster of an EP are the tracks "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN," "STRANGERS," "CITY BOYS x PRETTY GIRLS," "UNTOUCHABLE," and "UNTOUCHABLE - Demitri Medina Remix."
A collaborative effort with the band, "GAME BOY" was co-written and produced by Tyler Smyth, a prolific songwriter, producer, and musician who helped Haunter bring the heat with this addictive candy-coated pop-rock single. The adrenaline-inducing track also fuses elements of electropop and dance-pop in with its pop-rock core, giving listeners a taste of Haunter's carefully crafted, irresistible sound. A highlight of Haunter's performance, Lucy LeNoir's vocals capture the show as the artist proves she can hang with some of the best in the game, like Honey Revenge's Devin Papadol or Paramore's Hayley Williams. Complete with energetic hooks, thrilling guitar riffs, and dazzling synths, "GAME BOY" is certainly a single pop enthusiasts don't want to miss.
A combination of former emo kids and a metalhead, Haunter is a four-piece band consisting of members Lucy LeNoir (vocals), Enoma Asowata (guitars/synths), Mark Schroeder (bass), and Mike Ray (guitars/synth/vocals). The band we know and love today formed after a chance encounter at a House of Blues show in Houston, where Asowata saw LeNoir onstage and knew they were destined to create musical magic together. Following the band's conception, Haunter took a leap of faith and embarked on a journey of sharing demos, writing songs, and taking a cross-country trip to LA to work with Tyler Smyth. Along the way, Haunter have worked diligently to find themselves and stay true to the music they want to make. Reflecting on who they are today, Asowata shared, "We stopped pretending to be a ‘pop band’ and just started being us. Slightly off-center, rough around the edges, and completely real."
