Lilia Asha, a young artist, whose talent goes beyond her age, discusses the feeling of being possessed by loss and haunted by the life that used to exist. "Ghost House" combines all that gets left behind when time moves forward, whether it's people, a place, or a dream. All that remains is a memory of the joy that was once there. The song combines pain with fear, and Lilia Asha's voice is anguished with the change. What works so well with "Ghost House" is that it tackles multiple issues that won't leave the speaker's brain. The nuance of "Ghost House" shows a level of complexity in the emotional content this song provides. Lilia Asha absolutely embodies this song, and it's a level of emotional transparency that is so rare in an artist so young.

What first stands out when you listen to "Ghost House" is just how eerie it sounds. As soon as you press play it does feel like walking into a haunted home. Throughout "Ghost House" there's a connection to childhood fantasies, memories of wishing for magical fairytales. These memories portray growth, and how much can be lost when one grows up. There's also a clear picture of the ghosts left behind when people leave us or when we leave people. Whether it's literal or metaphorical death, it's a feeling we all know, and Lilia Asha does a great job in creating a song that resonates with the audience. There's something very interesting about the production on this track. It's very dark, and it does feel like a horror film. The ambiance is incredibly sinister, but that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. That piano tugs at your heartstrings, and as the song progresses it starts to less like walking into a film and more like skimming through a scrapbook. During the entirety of "Ghost House," Lilia Asha's voice never tires of emotional torment, and her singing feels incredibly earnest of these feelings of loss. "Ghost House" holds you tight and compels you to reminisce on what time has taken from you, and it's a track you'll find haunts you for a long time.

Lilia Asha is a 13-year-old artist that is currently based in Shanghai. Her musical journey began at the age of 6 where she found herself performing at talent shows and taking music lessons. At the age of 8 she won in the International Category at the Song Academy's Young Songwriter Competition. Since then she has been working hard on her career, becoming a more skilled musician. She has been in competitions and bands, and has also done solo performances. Her debut single "Rae" also shows the level of emotional vulnerability that "Ghost House" has. It's amazing to see someone so young that has accomplished so much. Lilia Asha clearly loves what she does so much and we can expect that she will only continue to grow as an artist and accomplish so much more.
