"Good Together" is the latest single from della, a song that delineates the jealousy that comes with seeing your former significant other dating someone new. della sings directly to this person, recognizing that how her ex treated her in their relationship is identical to how he treats his new girlfriend. della is still heartbroken over the breakup and devasted that he moved on so quickly, and that someone else gets to experience the same things she did with him, such as going on romantic dates and meeting his family. She is mad at both of them, but also idolizes their relationship because of her nostalgic feelings.
Strong and powerful vibes of pop and country intertwine and influence the entirety of “Good Together”’s instrumentation and production. Cute and classy synths adorn southern guitar chords and drums, supplemented by della’s vocals, which make for the perfect country song but still maintain a focus on mainstream pop. This song could be played at a pool party, but also at a western-themed bar, which shows how sonically diverse “Good Together” is. This single also has many other creative elements, such as the second chorus being longer than the first, revealing more lyrics as you listen, representing della’s impeccable songwriting abilities.
