It's terrifying to find yourself stuck in a loveless relationship. Even as you fight hard to cling on, you become aware of the dangers of staying. "Hopeless Love Affair" by artist Anna Porto follows the story of a person fighting for a relationship that has them enchanted, and not by love. The dark pop track uncovers a person's innermost thoughts during a battle of fight or flight. It's a song that's a message someone might be scared to admit, but the story itself remains necessary. Anna Porto is a 21-year-old artist from Melbourne. Anna Porto comes across as someone who cares about authenticity, and writes songs that follow true stories, which is always a great quality for an artist to have. Anna Porto has always had a passion for music but it wasn't until recently in 2024 that she released her first single "Every Little Possible Lie." After the success of this track she began working on an EP, which will be released in parts as singles instead as a full project. With only two singles out so far it may be difficult to get a grasp of her specific style, but so far both releases do follow that dark pop style that Anna Porto performs so well.
