“I Beat U 2 It” was released on March 18, 2025, by artist GWYN. This song is about showing the strength one has to overcome a relationship that wasn’t always the greatest. It can be extremely hard and terrifying to leave something that no longer serves you. But it’s something that will inevitably happen as time is a short thing, we all have. While this song delivers messages of strength and perseverance it’s also a song that delivers us a mystery to solve. “I Beat U 2 It” opens with the most upbeat sound that just immediately throws a smile on your face. The drums were super bouncy and groovy which paired amazingly with her expressive vocals. Her voice was so powerful and dreamy throughout the entire track. I absolutely loved the overlay of what sounded like humming over her vocals. It added so much depth to the song and really captured all the feelings GWYN was going through. The track had so much life to it from the electric instrumentals and sounds right down to her tender voice and incredible storytelling.
GWYN is a singer/songwriter who was born in Massachusetts and now resides in Los Angeles, California. Her brand-new EP titled “Dreamcrusher” includes four versions of her track “I Beat U 2 It.” While the song brings about so many emotions her singing was so raw and vulnerable in every aspect. Making this song extremely relatable to anyone who listens to it. While it may be relatable the song dives into a deeper meaning for the artist.
