Jazzy Dale has released her new single, “I Get It Now.” With the rush of having someone see you for how you truly are against a production straight out of the 2000s, Dale has listeners falling in love with this song. With no “need to be naked,” the free-fall feeling of growing a crush on somebody quickly has Dale realizing that this feeling is what people talk about in the movies. Timbaland inspired, “I Get It Now” feels like a song meant to be set against a montage of first kisses, late-night dates in the city, and the feeling of everything clicking into place. While the feeling is terrifying, Dale encapsulates the electrifying feeling of falling for someone somewhat quickly in “I Get It Now.”

Right up there with Cry Me A River, Maneater, and more, production on “I Get It Now” is an ode to the many iconic Timbaland-produced hits of the 2000s, and it’s an ode done right. Catchy with a beat that can soundtrack a night out, Dale hits the nail on the head when it comes to an infectious inferno of a song. While the production was definitely the standout of the song for me, I also cannot get over Dale’s vocals on “I Get It Now.” Carrying out a stand-out performance, Dale’s voice fits perfectly with this type of production and it’s clear that she is going to have listeners, both new and old, on the edge of their seats waiting for more after “I Get It Now,” myself included.

Jazzy Dale is an up-and-coming singer hailing from Sydney and Eora. Focusing on R&B and pop, Dale’s discography is filled with hit after hit, including “Masquerade,” “Rich Boy,” and “Desperate.” While this may be only her tenth addition to her widening discography, Dale handles the microphone with ease, filling rooms with candid lyrics and five-part harmonies. With inspirations like Doechii, Jorja Smith, and Raye, it’s no wonder Dale has been making hit after hit with her music. With over 12,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s clear Dale isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
