In the era of Billie Eillish, Olivia Rodrigo and other "sad girl pop" artists comes Vitalia and her song "Insecure." This is a song for the people who can't help overthinking or spiraling when it comes to love. What adds the most emotional depth in this song is how Vitalia is speaking on these traits as well as being in a toxic relationship. Vitalia reaches into the hearts of listeners at the beginning of every verse with lyrics like "I know she's just a friend, but..." using this as a way to show how she spirals by picturing her current partner with another person. Vitalia brings realistic and honest writing to pop music with an emotional intensity that any listener would be able to relate to.

In the beginning of "Insecure," viewers are introduced to Vitalia's idea of overthinking right from the get-go. She whispers over the music "You're not good enough" and "You're better off without him" amplifying how much she's living in her head with these ideas. The music at the top feels eerie as if something is lurking beside us as we listen but it quickly turns into a synthetic emotional pop song. What Vitalia brings to the table that feels different from other artists in this genre is the upmost raw honesty in her lyrics. The mood of this song exudes intense jealousy over a fun pop beat that makes it an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.

Vitalia is a Ukranian-Canadian singer-songwriter and actress who has come a long way from her start at just six years old. She claims that her sound is ever-evolving, which some artists really tend to strive for but might have a hard time executing - something that Vitalia isn't afraid of comitting to. With music that is a blend of pop, alternative and rock, she is comitted to pushing her boundaries to what her music can do. Her first ever EP is set to release in April 2025 diving into themes of love, longing and self-reflection. She's also already doing the groundwork for an album with the vibes for a "hot girl summer."
