It’s refreshing, as well as healing and fun, to interact with music such as “Internet Star” that connects personal struggles, relatable issues, modern qualities, and well-crafted musicality altogether. It’s apparent that googly eyes has created a world of her own, yet its inviting and a safe place for all.
googly eyes is an artist, writer, and producer from Houston, Texas. She recently became the first artist signed to Pretty Swede Records, an independent music label founded by artist Tove Lo. Since the music label’s foundation in 2022, googly eyes’ upcoming EP, Starlet, will be Pretty Swede’s first release apart from the work of Tove Lo. googly eyes’ focus in her music is on electronic influences, vocal production, and poetic lyricism. She aims to create vivid soundscapes with qualities of raw & natural, human elements along with ones of synthetic and manufactured traits. Bareback on the Motherfucking Plains, the first single from googly eyes, was recorded and produced in its entirety by googly eyes.
