Review: "Lemon Teen Scent" - River Dallas

Its opening verse is gritty, while the pre-chorus and chorus juxtapose this by filling the song with lyrics which symbolize innocence. “Twenty-two on a Tuesday/ Fly by blue jay, yeah” is only one example of Dallas’ playful lyricism. Overall, “Lemon Teen Scent” is a vibrant listen filled with hidden emotional struggle. It probably represents the complexities many of us felt (or still feel) as young teens. And for that, I think it will resonate with anyone whose experienced the bittersweet feelings of growing up.
