Beatriz Oak gathers words like missing puzzle pieces in her latest single, "lost." Oak weaves the elements of the classic miscommunication trope. She reflects on the beginning fantasy of this love story through the lens of someone taking off the rose-colored glasses. Oak revisits the picture-perfect drawings and the pedestal, realizing the whole image had always been there. Whether her partner swept problems under the rug or she looked the other way, the words—the whole story—are always there.

Oak’s latest single “lost” pours the artist’s relationship into the gloomy clouds of dark pop. Her voice rings with the edge and depth of a rock musician. She glides into the addictive smooth pop tone in the post-chorus. The melody that circulates and the electric harmony are the shiny spark of “lost.” Despite her loss for words, Oak’s voice outshines the beats and synths in the single.

Oak’s passion for singing and songwriting carries her from inspiration to passing auditions for The Voice. At six years old, she began singing and dancing lessons. Music moved her to audition for The Voice Portugal 2020. On the show, she performed “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi. She passed the blind auditions and continued pursuing songwriting. In November of 2025, Oak released her debut single, “chill.” Her debut single and recent single “lost” are available through the links below!
