"Lovers Do" is the newest single from Ciana Kaye. In the Valentine's Day release, she sings about how betraying love is, and how she wants to experience it in the good light its portrayed in, in regards to media and the love shared between people that she sees around her. She has not experienced what considers to be true love yet, and wants to, but does not want to be let down again. Like most people, Kaye wants the typical romance and to be in love with someone, but its hard to find. She finds it difficult to trust potential significant others when past partners have betrayed her trust.
The production of "Lovers Do" gives off the vibe of a classic love song from the bubblegum pop/jazz fusion era of the 50s, but with a modern twist. Its like if the movie Enchanted was a song, when Giselle is wandering through her animated foresty kingdom and the pathways of Central Park. The instrumentation is very elegant, with its beautiful guitar chords and background orchestra. Kaye also has an amazing voice; its very distinct and she is able to switch octaves with ease. She provides amazing harmonies as well. "Lovers Do" was produced by Alyssa Wilkens, who did an amazing job on this song.
Ciana Kaye is a music artist based in South Dakota. She has been writing songs for several years, and began her music career in January 2025 with her debut single "Fake Friends", another song about betrayal that was also produced by Alyssa Wilkens. She is popular on TikTok and has posted multiple musical videos on her account, including covers of "stranger" by Olivia Rodrigo and "Doublewide" by Gabriella Rose. "Lovers Do" has nearly 3,000 streams on Spotify. Ciana Kaye is an amazing and very talented musician, and I can't wait to hear more music from her!
