Review: "made you cry" - Alessiah

Alessiah has released her brand-new single on April 11, 2025, titled “made you cry.” This track is about every emotion and feeling of wanting to let go of someone when it's sometimes it just seems simply impossible. When it comes to relationships everyone shows their love differently and the other may not even see or understand it. They see it as hatred or toxicity, but it really is a form of someone’s love. A battle between yourself and your partner can spark instantly because not everyone understands different forms of affection other than their own. Ultimately in the end the only thing you find yourself doing is leaving them alone and parting ways because although you may show love differently, they don’t seem to see it.
“made you cry” starts off with the most chilling, haunting melody I have ever heard. I immediately fell in love with the entire vibe of the song. From the wicked sounds played over lyrics like “Please stay / Don’t go away” to her vocals that encompassed this song amazingly. There were these points throughout the track where an overlay of vocals in another tone was present, I thought gave off a romantic but hypnotic sense as the song is about letting go of someone. While the track has such intense sounds Alessiah’s vocals were so forceful in every aspect. I enjoyed how she mixed up her vocals from having a sound over them to give off that freighting feel to just her regular but fantastic voice.
The young and talented Alessiah is a singer/songwriter from Romania. She has been releasing music consistently since 2020. Her latest single “made you cry” is a beautiful song about the emotional ache of letting someone go. Her music is so raw and beautifully sung with so many musical elements to it. In all her music you can feel the great amount of energy she puts into each and every track.
