Review: "neckdeep" - Charlotte Sands

Charlotte Sand’s latest single is an electrifying track that solidifies her place as alt-rock royalty.  The passionate song shares the story about realizing your partner is no longer committed and does not prioritize the relationship in the way they once did. The singer’s vulnerability throughout the track highlights her clever songwriting and her innate ability to resonate with listeners. She kicks off the song with the hook: “Why would you tell me that you’re neck deep when you’re really one foot out,” immediately propelling the listener into the brutally honest storyline. The song switches to the first verse as the rockstar announces to her subject that they make her want to drive her car into a ditch and set their house on fire. The damage they have caused has turned her into this person – someone who acts so neurotic just to see if they would care.
