Matthew Orgel lingers in the colorful lighting of youth and the path with no direction in his latest single, "NEXT BAR." While his friends plant their feet in solid jobs and exchange vows with partners, Orgel refuses to rush. Parties shifted to dining with grand pianos, chandeliers, and white wine, but he finds thrills in the local bars with loud karaoke machines, sticker-covered photobooths, and martinis. A hint of '80s-inspired textured synths fulfills the nostalgic mood, without trapping us in a time machine. In Taylor Swift's Lover fashion, the twinkling melody controls the song with a bubbly, light, and airy atmosphere that suggests one more round and one more song. The born-and-raised New York pop songwriter, Matthew Orgel, creates playful, upbeat tracks. He released his EP THE THRILL OF IT on January 9th. He expanded the layers of production, turning up the volume on synth-heavy tracks and adding a stronger edge to lyrics. He knows how to turn those troubling experiences and heartbreaks into songs dripping in style. He has mastered his skills at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
