Review: "On One Knee" - Abi Muir

Knowing who you are and your self-worth when it comes to a relationship is quite possibly the biggest power move ever. When you know yourself to the extent of not letting an immature person come into your life and play with your feelings and emotions you have this glow to you. It’s almost impossible for people to not be caught in the amazement that you give off. They are drawn to you because you have so much confidence and independence. You are simply an angel to hundreds, and they have to get to know you whether you want them to or not. Abi Muir released her latest single titled “On One Knee” on June 20, 2025. A song that brings us so much courage and trust to be ourselves and eventually time will play out as it should.
“On One Knee” begins with a sound that is so ear catching and retro at the same time. The opening beat is so catchy and fun as well as the melody. Not to mention how euphoric her vocals were with such relatable lyrics. Especially with lines like “you can run away but / you won’t forget me” and “no such thing as you getting bored / i’m all of this plus more.” Every aspect of this track was so powerful and honest I loved every second of it. There wasn’t a moment where I didn’t feel empowered and strong. I immediately added this song to my everyday listening playlist.
Abi Muir is a singer/songwriter hailing from Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Since 2019 she has been releasing music regularly with her first ever single titled “Heebiejeebies.” She has made quite the name for herself in her musical career so far. As she has been considered as a finalist for numerous competitions as well as winning many. In 2021 she won an award in the Rock music category for the John Lennon Songwriting Contest as well as the Grand Prize. She has performed at many venues like the Summer Sounds Festival in 2023, Agnes Blues in 2024 and the Nashville Exit/In, in 2022.
