Review: "People Pleaser" - Nieri

As we go through life, we change every single day not just with our views on certain things but how we act and how we look. There is so much that we change about ourselves in order to fit into society's norms. Whether it’s for a new friend group, for family to view you as older or stronger or simply because we don’t recognize ourselves anymore. No matter what the thought process is we find ourselves never being able to be our true selves. We are constantly changing for others while hurting ourselves at the same time. If we can't be who we are around family or friends whatever the case may be then are those people really for us? “People Pleaser” by Nieri is a track that not only makes you think about who you are but also to stop changing yourself for those who aren’t worthy.
“People Pleaser” begins with such an ear catching sound. I was immediately drawn in with how unique but euphoric the sound was. I can only describe it as the volume on a radio going up and down but with so much intensity to it. I thought the steady rhythm paired amazingly with his strong voice. He sang so peacefully but with so much devotion at the same time and not to mention how outstanding his vocal range was. Especially towards the end, you could hear just how much soul he poured into this track. I seriously could not get enough of it!
Nieri is a singer/songwriter who was born in Milan, Italy but now resides in Los Angeles, California. Since 2022 with his first single released titled “Beautiful Music” he has been killing the music industry with his remarkable sound. While his music fits under the dance pop genre there is also a well-crafted blend of life experiences throughout his brand-new song. “People Pleaser” is such an infectious track with so many relatable lyrics, I highly recommend giving this song a listen.
