Relationships, however positive, can be anxiety inducing and stressful. However, finding the right person can also make you feel secure and calm, like giving a breath of fresh air. Hannah Tramonte’s latest single, “Red Light Kiss”, released on March 10th, details this side of love, the refreshing stability of someone who reminds you “to slow down, take it all in, and live in the present. Enjoy those small moments, even if it’s just a little kiss at a red light”. With an interesting combination of pop and country themes, Tramonte tells the story of how she has grown in her relationship, teaching herself and her listeners that the right person will show you how to enjoy life to its fullest and simplest, not push you to run through it faster.

Tramonte starts this track with a simple finger picked guitar chord, and her voice has a slight twang as she recounts the way she used to view the world. She sings, “I used to be impatient / Tried to rush the front of the line / I used to get real anxious / Afraid to take my time”. She aligns this with driving down the road, rushing to her destination and speeding through the yellow lights. However, as we reach the chorus her new love enters the story. They tell her to take life slower, and she finally listens. In the chorus, she sings, “Slow down at the yellow cause I / Don’t wanna miss / A red light kiss / A red light kiss”.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Hannah Tramonte is a rising singer-songwriter. She focuses on story-telling with her music, wanting to convey thoughts and emotions through her lyrics and soundscapes. Since her first release in 2020, a Christmas song titled “Oh Holy Night / In the Bleak Midwinter”, she has released various singles, performed at CMA Fest in Nashville, TN, opened for Andy Grammer at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, and even recorded at the Brandy Melville Recording Studio in New York City. Her music is inspired by that of artists like Kacey Musgraves and Megan Moroney, energetic and full of storytelling, with a distinct country twang.
