While they are having a good time, there is another man hunting the fairytale creatures. The video comes to a tragic end when Summy’s fairy character is struck by an arrow and succumbs to the wounds. The four fairies have a funeral for her where they cover her with flowers and send her down the river. At the end, the horse man removes his mask and says, “I’m sorry”. This parallels the meaning of the song itself. He revealed his true self in the end and apologized for her death, but his words are too little too late. Summy using a whimsical aesthetic to depict a dark storyline is a brilliant use of imagery and symbolism.
