Teaming up with songwriter/producer Rob Wells, producer/mixer Dave "Rave" Ogilvie, and multi-instrumentalist/producer Anthony "Fu" Valcic, goth pop icon Georgi has released her latest single, "Shadows." The track reflects on the pains of lost love and growing up through the lens of being young in a world that's falling apart. Shedding light on the inspiration behind the song, Georgi shares, "Shadows is a song I wrote about heartbreak, youth, and not understanding the world. There’s a lot of emotion and rawness in it. I see it as a bridge — musically and emotionally — from where I’ve been to where I’m going."

Blending electropop with dark wave, Georgi's "Shadows" embodies the moodier side of pop as the artist pushes sonic boundaries past her usual post-punk/synthwave sound. The track's ominous soundscape is equal parts biting and captivating, featuring a mix of haunting synths, pulsing beats, and intoxicating melodies. A notable composition under Georgi's belt, "Shadows" features an interpolation of Depeche Mode’s "It’s No Good," approved by one of the band's founding members, Martin Gore. As the track draws inspiration from 2000s pop with influence from 80s/90s industrial music, it'd be no surprise if fans of Depeche Mode, The Cure, Crystal Castles, and early Grimes instantly fell in love with "Shadows" and Georgi.

Finding her passion for music at an early age, Georgi began singing and writing songs at the age of 5. She formed several bands throughout her childhood, continuing to hone her skills until high school. Georgi eventually went to college, enrolling in business school in New York, later transferring to Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. During this time, COVID-19 shifted classes online, leading Georgi to rediscover her musical roots and pursue her music career full-time in 2021. Since then, Georgi has been busy making a name for herself, playing in venues like The Brooklyn Mirage, Area 15 Las Vegas, and Future Factory LA, and amassing over 150 gigs in her first year. She has supported iconic EDM artists like ARTBAT, Eli & Fur, Charlotte de Witte, and The Chainsmokers, making Georgi a rising artist to keep an eye on.
