The talented and energetic BONAD have released a new track entitled, “SO SAD” and we're here to talk about it. This single is a celebration of letting go and realizing you were never the problem. Self-worth is injected into these lyrics as its singers proclaim they have discovered the pattern of an ex coming back whenever they feel lonely. As a result of this, the healing process is also spoken about within the lyrics “Come look in the mirror” and “I was never the problem.” The track finds a solution to this drama by encouraging us to dance away our issues and focus on our own development. Realizing you deserve better is often the last hard pill to swallow when digging your way out of a tough relationship, and for this reason I’m sure many people will relate to the message behind “SO SAD.”

“SO SAD” hooks you from the start with its techno influences staying abundantly clear. The tone of a high-energy breakup anthem is also set immediately. BONAD’s vocals showcase an impressive range with effortless high notes. Their harmonies throughout each chorus are one of the best features of the track. The beat is powerful; it is perhaps what drives the rest of the song forward. The chorus is not only catchy, but reveals the rest of the instrumentation after a somewhat stripped back intro. There is something vibrant and fun about “SO SAD” despite its heavier topics; it is definitely a party-ready single.

A talented trio originally from Randers, Denmark with the names Rachel, Mads, and Thomas comprise BONAD. Since 2019, they have experimented with making music of every genre. Their unrestricted approach curates fresh and new sounds, particularly in the electronic pop side of things. “SO SAD” is their latest work, and it takes the concept of a breakup anthem to another level. If you can’t stop dancing to “SO SAD” you should definitely follow BONAD on all of the social media we’ve linked below to stay updated with their newest releases!
