“True Nature” by Ella Eliza is about finding someone who has qualities that you truly admire, as well as ones that you share with them. Eliza believes she’s been involved with the wrong crowd for a while, and notices this when she meets someone new that she feels confident and sure about confiding in. Being with them makes her want to leave her old unhealthy lifestyle behind and pursue a new one, where she doesn’t make mistakes or waste her time on unworthy people, and instead spends time with those who actually care about her and what she has to say. She knows she’s not meant to live a life where she feels lonely, but instead live one where she feels accepted and loved.
The production and instrumentation of this song are filled with funky vibes all throughout, like it's a step up from easy listening, with a mix of contemporary pop. This is supplemented by the guitar chords that flow through with the raw drums and small riffs that can be heard in the background. The beat isn’t the main focus of the production, but rather the other instruments. putting more of an emphasis on them while still matching the beat at the same time. “True Nature” sounding like a classic alternative pop song but is simultaneously creative and original shows that this song was expertly produced. Eliza also has amazing vocals, which add on to the chill vibes of the single.
Ella Eliza is a versatile music artist from Germany and is based in West London, England. She began her music career in January 2018 with the release of her debut single “Like I Can’t Breathe”. Since then, she has released other amazing music in addition to her debut and “True Nature”, such as her songs “Sinner and Saint” and “Imma Do Me”, as well as her EPs INTROSPECTION and I Wonder How It Will All Play Out, where "True Nature" is a track. She has received recognition from several music publications and BBC Radio, and has performed live for large audiences at different music venues, including the Notting Hill Arts Club and The Grace in London. Ella Eliza is an impeccable and very talented artist!
