You know that ex? You know… THAT ex. The one who was crazy, convinced you that you’re the crazy one, and drove you mad? Didn’t they just make you want to- AAAHHH! Lola Raie’s debut single, “U Make Me”, has your back. With this single kickstarting her career, she knows how to get listeners rocking with her! The song is essentially a big F you to that ex in your life that ruined everything, while also reminding listeners that you are not alone! Don’t listen to that person who tells you that you need therapy, you’re dramatic, and that you’re the bad guy. Listen to this song and realize how they make you!

The song starts with a gritty guitar, thrusting us into a Paramore-type of vibe. There is a constant kick, rising anticipation with the lyrics. The drums hype up to explore into the chorus, where the vocals get very punk. Speaking of vocals, there is beautiful layering within that creates echo-like call backs and an amazing sound. Along with this theme, the vocalizations throughout create a pop vibe that completes the song. The screams after the chorus aid in the rock-feel, as well, which I personally adore. To kick this to an epic close, the pulsations, high-range lyric ending, and the final radio-like vocal effect puts this pop punk song on my liked playlist.

Lola Raie is an actress/singer based out of Los Angeles. She found a love for acting at the age of four, when she did a play at her community theatre. She later found an agent and began her life as a child actress. Since then, Lola has been seen on many forms of the screen including but not limited to “Yes Day”, “Cheaper By The Dozen”, and “Ainbo”. She has recently stepped into her singing career officially with this new single. With her supportive family, there is nothing that Lola Raie cannot do.
