"Wide Eyed Wonder" by RABO explores the need to break free of a draining situation, portraying the speaker's desire to run away from their problems with a partner by their side. The speaker of this song is torn apart by regret and worry for the future. In a powerful plea for an escape, the lyrics, "I wanna leave this world behind tonight" express desperation and urgency to move away from the realities of the speaker's life. Self-awareness emerges through the words "shying away from hurt just left me lonely", providing a sense of realization that while running away from your problems may feel like a solution, avoidance becomes a form of isolation in itself.

The sound of this song balances energetic instrumentals with expressive vocals for an immersive alt-pop tune. Percussion and bright electronic instrumentals open the track as RABO's singing starts off smooth and low. Bridging into the chorus, high, breathy staccato singing blends into a throaty, textured articulation of the lyrics. The chorus is colored with raw exasperation and longing. Pulsing chords and vocalizing feel liberating as RABO projects the words "I'll go anywhere with you". "Wide Eyed Wonder" hits the ear with an immersive atmosphere that will make you want to dance your problems away.

RABO is a Norwegian artist with an exciting alternative pop sound. She will be performing at the upcoming festivals including Neon and OverOslo festival, and has shows lined up all summer long.
